The “Wash Swish” vocalist has been tapped to have the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards, making it official Thursday with a declaration on Twitter:

“I’ve been preparing with MTV in zero gravity, eating space traveler frozen yogurt and I’m on a gathering content with Buzz Aldrin and Neil deGrasse Tyson,” Perry said in a subsequent proclamation. “Come August 27th, I’ll be prepared to be your MOONWOMAN! Support for affect, kids.”
