A bike rider rider died after riding into the path of a car Saturday evening.
At 5:45 p.m. Saturday, the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office reacted to a report of a car accident including an engine vehicle and a bike at the crossing point of Maple Island Road and the Muskatawa Bike Path in Sullivan Township.
In view of the progressing examination, preparatory discoveries demonstrate that James Larue of North Muskegon was riding a bicycle westward on the Muskatawa Bike Path when he didn’t stop at the convergence with Maple Island Road and rode into the way of a northbound engine vehicle driven by Ronald Griggs and was hit.
Larue was taken to Hackle Hospital where he passed on from his wounds.
Larue was not wearing a bicycle cap.
A traveler in the auto additionally was taken to Hackley Hospital.
Delegates said medications and liquor are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The episode was researched by the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office with the Michigan State Police helping.
Larue was given medicinal consideration on scene by the Fruitport Fire Department with help from the Ravenna Fire Department and Promed.
