City authorities on Sunday distinguished the lady who was killed in Saturday’s auto assault in Charlottesville. Heather D. Heyer, 32, of Charlottesville, was murdered when an auto furrowed into a horde of dissenters as they crossed the street at fourth and Water roads downtown.
The episode included a dull dim 2010 Dodge Challenger, which sped down fourth Street where it crosses the Downtown Mall and pummeled into the horde of walkers and two autos sitting at the convergence. Photographs and video of the episode demonstrates people on foot being flung into the air as the auto dashed through the group.
Police halted the Challenger on Monticello Avenue, and captured the driver, distinguished as James Alex Fields, Jr., 21, of Maumee, Ohio. Fields has been accused of one tally of second-degree kill, three numbers of vindictive injuring and one tally of attempt at manslaughter.
