Man Stabbed in His Neck At Manchester Mosque

Advisor specialist Dr Nasser Kurdy was assaulted outside the Altrincham and Hale Muslim Association at 17:50 BST and was taken to doctor’s facility.

He has since been released and a 54-year-old man and a 32-year-old were captured and are being addressed.

More prominent Manchester Police is regarding the episode as an abhor wrongdoing and requested that any witnesses approach.

Dr Kurdy, who has driven petitions at the mosque as an imam, heard Islamophobic remarks at the season of the assault, group sources said.

Istikhar Awan, who goes to the mosque with his better half and kids, said the group was “in a condition of stun”.

“Altrincham is a rural zone, an all around coordinated group… the way that it occurred in a place like this is very concerning.”

He included that Dr Kurdy was dealt with in Wythenshawe Hospital, where he acts as an orthopedic specialist.

He stated: “This is an especially cherished senior individual from the group, who functions as a specialist and spares lives.”

Det Insp Ben Cottam said he was assaulted “with no attempt at being subtle”.

He included: “We can make certain that there is no place for detest wrongdoing on our avenues and we will do all that we can to make a move against the individuals who endanger the security of others.”
