Rosie O’Donnell’s ex Michelle Rounds passed on Monday, Sept. 11 of evident suicide at her home. She was 46.

“I am disheartened to find out about this shocking disaster. Psychological maladjustment is an intense issue influencing numerous families. My considerations and supplications go out to Michelle’s family, her significant other and their youngster,” O’Donnell, 55, tells PEOPLE in an announcement.

Rounds was conceived in Corning, New York, on May 10, 1971 to Roger and Gayla Rounds and later went to school at State University of New York.
