4 Cyclists Injured in Hit and Run Case At Marin County, Suspect Arrested

A suspect has been captured in an attempt at manslaughter that harmed a gathering of four bicyclists Saturday in unincorporated Marin County, a California Highway Patrol officer said toward the beginning of today.

Aaron Paff, 21, of Novato, was captured at his home just before midnight Saturday and set up for the Marin County Jail on doubt of lawful offense attempt at manslaughter, said CHP Officer Andrew Barclay.

The four bicyclists who were harmed in the occurrence are in stable condition in the doctor’s facility, Barclay said. One of them had been taken via air emergency vehicle to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, he said. Every one of the four are relied upon to survive, the CHP officer said.

Officers were called just before twelve Saturday to a crash on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road only west of Hicks Valley Road.

“We could find the vehicle in the (suspect’s) garage and could affirm with the photos we had and the harm we saw on the vehicle it was a similar vehicle from the crash,” Barclay asserted.

“We got extra units and help from Novato police.

Just before midnight we reached him at his living arrangement and he was arrested without episode,” Barclay said.
