A wild police pursue through the boulevards of Miami and northwest Miami-Dade finished in a vessel yard in Allapatah.

Police have not said what prompted the pursuit which started around 7 a.m. close 36th Street and South River Drive.

The man, who police accept was furnished, drove a stolen dark colored SUV inconsistently, evading activity and escaping seeking after officers. At a certain point he got on the Palmetto Expressway and after that the Gratigny Parkway.

Halfway through the pursuit, he exchanged vehicles when he carjacked the driver of a dark Mazda SUV at gunpoint.

Everything arrived at an end under an extension at North River Drive and NW 27th Avenue.

Police have now set up a border as they scan for the driver who fled the stolen SUV.

Soon after 8:30 a.m., the driver surfaced close to a seawall at the base of the extension as about six officers prepared their firearms on him.

The scaffold has been secured in the vacant position. More officers arrived, however the man has declined to leave the water.
