As per Lexington police, officers playing out a welfare check at a home last Friday found seven youngsters all younger than 6 that were malnourished and unclean.
Robin Hiatt, who said she is the fatherly grandma of no less than one of the youngsters, said she called police Friday night after she saw photographs that showed the kids were seriously malnourished.
Police said two 18-month-old twins and a 1-year-old were taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The other youngsters are in child care or family authority.
Hiatt said the last time she saw the youngsters was about a year back, and has been attempting to discover them from that point onward.
The other kids, ages 3, 4, 5 and 6, were expelled from the home and put in child care or with different relatives. A 8-year-old who was inhabiting the house had been as of late remaining with their dad, as per police.
