Odell Beckham Jr. endured a cracked lower leg on a grisly looking play with four minutes left in the final quarter of Sunday’s diversion at MetLife Stadium.
A choice has not yet been made on surgery, a Giants representative said after the diversion.
It is a similar leg Beckham harmed in the preseason with a high lower leg sprain. The replay of his lower leg turning underneath a hit by Chargers DB Casey Hayward was loathsome.
Beckham was shouting and crying in torment as players waved angrily to the Giants sideline for coaches to turn out onto the field.
Beckham was hauled away in misery. He was the fourth Giants recipient to leave the diversion because of damage, including Dwayne Harris (broken foot), Brandon Marshall (left lower leg) and Sterling Shepard (left lower leg).
Beckham scored a touchdown to give the Giants a moment half lead, yet after his damage, Eli Manning bobbled on the precise next play to allow the Chargers to proceed.
