A motorcade went with the fallen officer from a doctor’s facility in adjacent Littleton.
“Any residents in the influenced zone are told to protect set up, maintain a strategic distance from windows and avoid outside dividers,” the sheriff’s office tweeted.
Steven Silknitter, an occupant of the Copper Canyon condo complex, said he hurried home to mind his fiancee in the wake of becoming aware of the shooting and touched base to hear a “torrent of gunfire trade.”
The territory was closed off, and Silknitter said he saw no less than 20 police vehicles.
“I was dreadful perplexed that I would go home and she’d be no more… I didn’t realize what I would discover,” he revealed to CNN subsidiary KMGH.
“It’s the exact opposite thing I would have thought of at my intricate,” he said. “It resembles something out of a motion picture.”
