Northbound paths of Interstate 95 in Stafford County were closed down Thursday evening after a driver associated in the lethal shooting with his better half let go on law requirement officers and smashed on the thruway, sheriff’s authorities say.
Stafford County sheriff’s agents reacted to a report of a shooting at 11:24 a.m. at a condo complex in the territory of Heron Drive and found a lady with three discharge wounds to the chest, Stafford County Sheriff’s Office representative Amanda Vicinanzo said.
Delegates put out a require the shooter, who they said had fled in a dark SUV. Virginia State Police say a state trooper and a Stafford County sheriff’s representative ceased a SUV in the northbound paths of I-95 close to the 138 marker regarding the shooting.
The driver escaped the SUV and started terminating at the trooper and representative, striking the trooper’s windshield, state police said.
A shot opening could be found in the driver side headrest, barely missing the officer.
The driver at that point got again into the SUV and fled northbound on I-95, where he slammed and upset close to the 142 marker. He endured what state police portrayed as genuine wounds and was traveled to Fairfax Inova Hospital for treatment. Sheriff’s authentic say he was found with a self-dispensed shot injury to the head.
“That person could have slaughtered many individuals, just by driving the way he was, not to mention shooting at individuals,” a witness revealed to NBC4 News.
The lady was articulated dead at the scene of the primary shooting. Her name was not discharged in light of the fact that her family had not been advised of her demise. The sheriff’s office affirmed that the suspect and lady were a couple.
No law authorization officers were harmed. State police say the trooper and representative did not discharge their firearms amid the shooting.
Northbound paths were shut at Exit 140 amid the examination.
