Police in Houston say they captured a man found with weapons and ammo in his inn room early Sunday, as experts the nation over stay on high alarm in front of arranged New Year’s Eve festivities.

CBS member KHOU-TV reports that police reacted to the Hyatt Regency lodging in downtown Houston around 1:30 a.m. nearby time Sunday. The suspect was purportedly hostile and inebriated.

The suspect was being captured for trespassing when an officer found ammo in his inn room, KHOU reports. The capturing officer called for reinforcement, and reacting officers found a few firearms in the room.

The suspect was then captured on charges of unlawfully conveying a weapon, notwithstanding trespassing.

KHOU reports that police are hunting the presume’s vehicle down conceivable extra weapons.
