PC James Dixon dead after the cruiser he was riding crashed into an auto on Bath Road close Hare Hatch at 13:50 GMT.
The retired person, who was a traveler in the auto, was executed while the driver, likewise a lady, was taken to doctor’s facility.
Officers said the street will stay shut for the rest of Tuesday.
Thames Valley Police said the closest relative of both PC Dixon and the expired lady have been educated.
A power representative said officers stayed at the scene of the crash and had prompted drivers to maintain a strategic distance from the territory.
The occurrence has been alluded to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).
IPCC Associate Commissioner Guido Liguori stated: “My contemplations and sensitivities are with their families and companions and the partners of the officer at this extremely troublesome time.
“IPCC examiners are going to the scene as a feature of an autonomous examination to decide the conditions which prompt the crash.”
PC Dixon was based at Loddon Valley police headquarters, close Reading.
Police said the wounds of the driver included are “not thought to be dangerous”.
