It’s authentic: The eighth and last period of Game of Thrones won’t air in 2018.
HBO issued a short discharge Thursday affirming that the staying six scenes will air in 2019. A particular debut date presently can’t seem to be uncovered, and HBO’s declaration declined to give much else besides authors, makers and chiefs related with the dream juggernaut.
The news that Game of Thrones would not air this year comes as meager astonishment, as the last season is required to extend over eight months.
Production on the eighth and last season started in October and will allegedly gone through August 2018 — an entire year following the season seven finale.
“Our creation individuals are endeavoring to make sense of a timetable for the shoot and how much time the embellishments take,” HBO programming president Casey Bloys revealed to The Hollywood Reporter over the mid year about the long hold up between periods of Thrones.
“The shooting is sufficiently confused — on various mainlands, with all the specialized perspectives — and the embellishments are an entire other creation period that we’re attempting to make sense of. That is a major factor in the majority of this.”
Executives for season eight are showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, David Nutter and Miguel Sapochnik. Authors are Benioff and Weiss, Bryan Cogman and Dave Hill.
