Davie County deputies say a child was attacked by a coyote on Thursday.
It occurred around 6:30 p.m. at a home on the 900 square of Markland Road in Advance.
Deputies say a coyote took after a youthful female to the entryway of her home and attacked her as she was endeavoring to enter the home.
The coyote had been endeavoring to assault the family puppy before this, as indicated by Davie County deputies.
The casualty’s mom could get the coyote to stop the assault. The child endured minor wounds and is being checked for rabies presentation.
The coyote couldn’t be found.
State Wildlife Officials have been made mindful of the assault.
“We prescribe that occupants in the region be mindful of their pets and when outside for the following two weeks.
A creature contaminated with rabies typically lapses inside two weeks, however can spread the sickness to different creatures and people that it comes into contact with.
