The Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central California ”Bowl for Kids’ Sake” kicks off in a few weeks.
Tayhana Garcia spent the morning at Bowlero in Clovis to give us a preview and let us know how to get involved.
Bowl For Kids’ Sake is the largest national, annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and this year, it’s all set to a Hollywood theme.
There will be bowling, entertainment, raffle prizes, and fun… and all the money raised goes back to help the kids in our community who are facing adversity every day.
The funds raised from this event go to covering the costs of background checks and the process of matching littles with their mentors.
“The money is for helping find volunteers and matching the children on the waiting list with those volunteers, and then it also helps to support current matches that we have. … Right now, we have 125 active matches here in Ellis County,” Bates said.
Bowl for Kids’ Sake will be on Wednesday, May 2, at Centennial Lanes, 2400 Vine in Hays.
