Navy Veteran Arrested in Connection of Ashanti Billie Dead

Government authorities said Wednesday that a Navy veteran has been accused of abducting regarding the passing of Ashanti Billie, whose body was found behind a North Carolina church in September.

The Virginian-Pilot announced that the suspect, 45-year-old Eric Brian Brown, was at that point in guardianship on random charges, including requesting of prostitution and trespassing.

Billie, 19, vanished on Sept. 18 while she was in transit to work at a sandwich shop on Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story in Norfolk, Virginia. Observation video demonstrated Billie driving her auto onto the base that morning. Video from a different entryway seemed to demonstrate an alternate individual driving the auto off the base.

Billie’s cellphone was found in a dumpster hours after she vanished and her auto was found in a close-by road five days after the fact. Various news outlets, refering to court archives, detailed that Billie’s jeans were found in her auto with soil on them.

Her body was found on Sept. 29 behind the East Stonewall AME Zion Church in Charlotte. Specialists say the congregation is found just a couple of hundred yards from Brown’s youth home.

Examiners have not uncovered the correct reason for Billie’s passing.

In an announcement, Billie’s family said thanks to “the FBI, Virginia Beach and Norfolk Police Departments and NCIS for their consideration and examinations in regards to their little girl.” The announcement shut with the online networking hashtag, “justiceforashanti”.
